This is a satirical comic I drew last semester for an English project, using “Comic Life” to arrange the templates and add word bubbles.

Glad the plug-in worked. It’s an awesome comic. The story itself, and the art, are both first-rate.

What a great comic! The drawings are great, story definitely gets the point across. This must have taken quite awhile to create and you should be proud of your efforts. Will share with some of my English teachers. I’d love to see them do something with graphic novels.

The “teacher” removing the boy’s dreams moved me to tears. You are very talented and need to keep showing us your world.

Wow! Great comic! Have you read this post about overachieving, etc?

Seriously, great job.

Where I teach there is not as much pressure on students to get the top grades to go to the top schools. I’ve heard teachers in other parts of the world, notably the US and some international schools, speak about these pressures, but I just didn’t get it. That is until I read your story. You have a real talent, thanks for sharing it!

Beatrice, I’m so glad we finally found a way for you to show your comic to the world; it really is amazing work and it ranks as the absolute best effort that a student has ever turned in to me. Thanks for doing this assignment at this level. I’m looking forward to many people commenting on it and sharing their appreciation of it with you. You deserve it!
